Recently, we had the opportunity to attend the Lansing City Market’s second annual Grand Art Market. I shared some photos of our booth last week, but today I wanted to show you a few more photos from the Lansing City Market itself.
Established in 1909, the Market’s recent reconstruction along the Grand River has strengthened Lansing’s downtown corridor by creating a welcoming home for more than 20 merchants. Currently the Market features a wide variety of goods including: local produce, fresh dairy products, artisan cheese, house-baked breads, organic meat, poultry, fresh-cut flowers, hand-dipped chocolates, Italian ice, natural heath care products, photography, gluten-free items, wine, hard cider and a several hot-prepared food merchants including a full-service bar and grill.
I stopped inside the market during the show to get a tasty treat for me, Tod and Emily. We got absolutely delicious gelato & sorbeta from Iorio’s Gelateria. I had Strawberry-Rhubarb, Emily had Peanut Butter Cup and Tod had Espresso. Mmmmm!
Back outside at the craft show, I also walked around and snapped a few photos of some of the other local artists & crafters set up.
Among my favorites at the show this weekend were The Old White House, {shop / blog} which sells great smelling natural laundry products; and Natural Selection Studio, {shop / blog} which sells incredibly beautiful carved wooden bowls.
I also had a great time chatting with Estina who makes beautiful glass tile jewelry from maps and other vintage ephemera.
Thanks again to the Lansing City Market for a great show!
